"Kristin’s Story” is Andrea Cooper’s tale of her daughter’s rape and subsequent suicide. A vibrant 20-year-old, Kristin committed suicide shortly after she was raped by a friend in 1995. Her mother shares her daughter’s tragedy with college students all over the nation.
“Kristin’s Story” is not only for women. This presentation gives ideas on how anyone can best help a rape survivor. It also aims to help men understand how their girlfriends or sisters feel if they become a rape victim. This event is sponsored by the Student Activities Center.
It is part of Women's Forum 2014.
