Guest speaker Kelsey Kees will be discussing her non-profit work with House of Hope. This organization, located in Nicaragua, seeks to create a better life for women living in poverty whose only way to support their families is through prostitution. House of Hope sells jewelry made by these Nicaraguan women so that they are able to empower themselves. The jewelry will be available during lunch blocks, 11:00-1:00 pm in the Colket Center, February 10th - 17th as well as during the night of the event! All proceeds go to House of Hope, this year's organization supported by Honors Conference Week. |
