| Description: |
Elizabeth Futral has established herself as one of the most sought after coloratura sopranos of our time. She has appeared with the world’s major opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Royal Opera House and Covent Garden. Her solo performances with orchestras include the New York Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, London Symphony and Berlin Philharmonic
Futral will join the Kandinskys for a performance of Shostakovich’s “Seven Romances on Poems by Alexander Blok,” Opus 127. These songs comprise some of the composer’s most intimate and personal work — his innermost thoughts and feelings communicated with immense power. A Handel aria and Beethoven’s beloved “Ghost” Trio, Opus 70, No. 1, also will be performed.
