Degrees:
Dr. Sandborg holds a B.A. from Knox College (Illinois); the M.M. in
Voice and the D.M.A. in Choral Conducting and Literature from the University
of Illinois.
Scholarly Activities:
For thirteen years Sandborg also directed the Roanoke Valley Choral Society.
His conducting credits include J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor, Vaughan Williams'
Hodie, and Verdi's Requiem.
Extracurricular:
Dr. Jeffrey Sandborg has directed the Roanoke College Choir since 1985. In that
time, membership has increased more than 200 percent, and the Choir's reputation
has become widely respected.
Recent Publications:
Sandborg is active as a clinician and choral scholar, having just completed
a book about British choral directors. His instructional video on the
fundamentals for singing, Make a Joyful and Beautiful Noise!, is a widely
used teaching resource in the United States. He is also the author of English
Ways: Conversations with English Choral Conductors.
