Catalog Description:

This course investigates the art and archaeology of ancient Egypt from the pyramids to the iconic art of "King Tut". We will discuss the art of pharaohs, gods, and mortals. Art and artifacts are placed within their archaeological, social, and historic context.

Critical inquiry will be taught in the context of careful reading of important intellectual works, as well as inquiry-based writing assignments.
