Catalog Description:

An overview of biological science, focusing on the central role of genetics and its connections to the other major areas of study within biology. The first course in a two-semester introductory sequence for biology majors. (Students intending to major in biology or biochemistry should enroll in this course the Fall semester of their freshman year.) Lecture: 3hrs/wk; Laboratory: 3hrs/wk.
