Catalog Description:

An intensive study of work from English, American,and world literature, examining both theirhistorical settings and their interrelationships(Required of Literary Studies majors in the senioryear.) Students must have completed a total of 25units before enrolling in ENGL 411. Studentswishing to complete their degree program earlymust meet the following criteria in order toenroll in ENGL 411: (1) have completed at least 20units, and (2) have an overall GPA of at least3.25 and a major GPA of at least 3.5. Studentswho do not meet the stipulated criteria may submitan appeal to the Department Seminar Subcommittee.No credit given for one term. NOTE: Final gradefo year given on a cumulative basis. (1,1)
